The Concilium in Dublin has approved the raising of the Hong Kong Comitium to “Regia” in their June monthly meeting. Our Most Rev. Bishop Stephen Chow of Hong Kong has also acknowledged the same in his letter to us on 30th August 2022.
We now announce that commencing from 8th September 2022, the “Comitium of Hong Kong” will be raised to “Regia”, thereafter, all Curia (including Junior Curia) in Hong Kong using Chinese as their main language will be affiliated to the “Regia”. Curia Caritas, another English speaking Curia will be raised as “Comitium (English)”, and affiliate to the “Regia”. All English speaking Curia in Hong Kong, Kowloon and the New Territories (including Junior Curia and Korean Curia), will affiliate to this “Comitium (English)”.
Most Rev. Bishop of Hong Kong Stephen Chow has also appointed Father Francis Tam as the Spiritual Director of the “Regia”. Father Paul Tam will be the Spiritual Director of the “Comitium (English)”.
